With my newly improved HF antenna, I thought I would give WSPR a go overnight to see what I could hear, I haven't got round to setting up WSPR for TX yet, so for the time being I'm just running listening tests.

To get going I decided on the 40m band, so I tuned to the WSPR 40m frequency of 7.0386 MHz, and set the receiver to the USB mode.  I also turned off all preamps and noise blankers and left things running overnight.

Logging in to the WSPRnet.org website I was very pleased to see lots of spots, plenty inter Europe, lots to the US East Coast, a couple into Russia and one all the way to New Zealand clocking in at just over 19000 km!
